DONATIONS NEEDED!!

The 2007 Paracycling World Championships take place in Cali, Colombia this November. Ibrahim needs to compete there in order to qualify for competition in the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. Ibrahim and fellow amputee cyclist Dedan Ireri hope to represent Kenya in both the 2007 World Championships and 2008 Paralympics.

Amazing blind Kenyan cyclist, mountain climber and director of the Kenyan Paralympics Comitee, Doulgas Siadalo, informed me of the qualifying event just last week. Together we are working to raise money among Kenyan sponsors and Americans interested in seeing Ibrahim and Dedan get to the 2008 Paralympics.

We project a figure of 15K US dollars as the total amount of funds needed to send Ibrahim and Dedan to Colombia with a manager to ensure their successful competition.

With your interest, small donation and the power of the internet we should be able to get 15,000 cyclists around the world to donate at least on dollar to help these inspiring athletes do what they do best. So please donate, spread the word and check the website weekly to see our progress!
